The Best of August: The Meg (2018)

The Meg is obviously not better than many of the great movies I watched this month. It was a great over the top genre movie with a giant shark and a ridiculous premise. It may not have been emotionally deep or moving, but it was a hell of a lot of fun. Jason Statham needs to do more movies like this one. See it.

The Worst of August: Feast (2005)

Feast has potential. It has a decent cast, but it relies too much on style. The style of the movie is just not all that compelling and the reliance on style over the talent of the cast makes everything annoying. It is extremely over directed and the special effects are not good enough. Skip it.
