Review:
Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure stars Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves in the title roles of Bill and Ted respectively. Bill and Ted have dreams of starting a band called the Wyld Stallyns and recruiting Eddie Van Halen to play with them. The small problem they are having is that they are in high school and are just about to fail their way out of school. It all comes down to a history final. If they don’t get an A+ on the assignment they will fail. Ted will be sent to military school in Alaska and Bill will half to deal with his stepmother who happens to be just a few years older than him.
To prevent all this from happening Rufus (George Carlin) comes from the future to help them pass their final exam. He gives them a phone booth that doubles as a time machine. It can take them anywhere or anyplace in the past. They bring people back to San Dimas, so they can explain what they think of the town. It is a great concept. They talk with funny diction, say dude a lot, love Disney, and slide through time.
Verdict:
It’s a goofy movie with a fun concept. See it.
