Review:
Adam (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara (Geena Davis) have a small problem. They are dead and some truly horrendous people have moved into their home. Charles (Jeffrey Jones) just wants to relax in a peaceful setting. Delia (Catherine O’Hara) hates the house and wants to destroy it, so that she can focus on her sculpting. The renovation is a nightmare.
Adam and Barbara try and scare them away on their own with some sheets and a truly incredible song and dance routine. But, it is not enough to drive them away. In order to solve their problem they summon Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton) a human exorcist to finish the deal. They quickly discover that his price is very high and they don’t want to pay it.
The costuming and set design are fantastic. This is Tim Burton at his best, before he turned into a one trick pony. The cast is incredible and the whole thing is a work of ghoulish art.
Verdict:
Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse! See it.

Review:
Suck is the story of a truly unsuccessful rock band. The Winners, after another hard night, need to sleep in the van again. There van also happens to be a hearse. Jennifer (Jessica Pare) is sick of it. She hooks up with a guy who not surprisingly is also a vampire. They abandon her in Montreal. She hooks up with them again in Toronto, but things are not the same. She has an aura about her that she did not have before. This is probably because she is a member of the living dead.
Everything seems like it will be fine until vampire hunter Eddie Van Helsing (Malcolm McDowell) shows up to kill Jennifer. The pursuit burns into the background as many interesting things happen. There are cool miniature transitions from tour date to tour date. Alice Cooper has an appearance as a bartender / spiritual guru. Henry Rollins play a crass talk radio host. Moby plays the front man of a band called Secretaries of Steak complete with USDA prime tattooed on his neck. Iggy Pop play himself and Nicole de Boer from Deep Space Nine has a small role.
The movie builds to a fascinating conclusion.
Verdict:
1. Always use a condom. 2. Never trust a vampire. See it.
